Rapid removal curbs graffiti quickly.

A recent study titled "The Erie Graffiti Strategic Intelligence Report" contains no surprises yet confirms what we at DTagrs have known for some time. "Rapid Removal" is the most effective and least costly technique for both the removal and prevention of graffiti.

In another recent study published in the journal "Science" evidence was found that the mere presence of graffiti encourages other types of socially negative behaviour such as littering and minor theft.

Again I need to point out that none of this information is new. Within the industry these facts have been known for decades. I am grateful that these two studies have received widespread media coverage and can only hope that it helps motivate property owners to remove their graffiti sooner and save themselves some money and possibly prevent some criminal acts.

The study that I would like to see is the one that explains the behaviour of property owners who don't clean up their property. After all it is both financially and socially advantageous to do so.
